Pre-loading Steel Survey
The pre-loading steel survey is first step of shipment on loading operation and designed to protect Owners/Charterers from steel cargo claims which may have occurred prior to loading on board as well as the damage during loading regarding to cargo condition.





SERVICE OVERVIEW
Purpose of pre-loading survey is to certify that condition of the cargo as contaminated with salt water and physical damage (rust, broken, dent & bent, oily etc.) defected & deformed or un-suitable condition prior to loading to protect the clients until the shipment will be discharged at final port.
Before loading operation, the condition of cargo holds, hatch covers, seaworthiness, ship’s ventilation system as well as cargo gears will be inspected to certify that their condition are suitable for loading of cargo.
During the course of preloading survey;
Advising to the Master regarding the cargo holds cleaning, repairing the deficiencies if any, condition of the dunnage material and lashing tools.
Advising the Master during the loading, stowage and securing of the cargo.
Monitoring the loading operation, stowage and securing of the cargo.
Reporting on handling damages caused by stevedores.
Carrying out & Advising on the tallying of the cargo and the issue of cargo documentation.
Ensuring that mate’s receipts and bills of lading are adequately claused to apparent condition,
Assist the Master and officers.
